This policy describes how Majalis, the operator of majalis.app, handles personal information collected through its pre-launch waitlist. The waitlist is intended for prospective students, parents and teachers who are at least 16 years old.

If you sign up, we receive your email address, your choice of student/parent or teacher waitlist, and the fact that you requested updates. Our email service provider may record subscription and confirmation details, delivery events and unsubscribe requests. Cloudflare processes limited technical data to protect the website and its sign-up form against abuse.

2. Why we use it

With your consent, we use your email to send a subscription confirmation, information about the Majalis launch, and occasional relevant updates. We keep student and teacher audiences separate so messages can be more relevant. We don't use your waitlist email for unrelated promotions.

3. Legal basis

We rely on your consent for marketing emails under applicable UK data protection and electronic marketing rules. You can withdraw it at any time. Necessary processing for website security may be based on our legitimate interests in protecting the service.

4. Service providers

We use Brevo to manage waitlist subscriptions and send emails, and Cloudflare to deliver and secure the website. These providers may process information in jurisdictions outside the UK under their applicable contractual and transfer safeguards.

5. How long we keep it

We retain your subscription while you remain opted in or until it is no longer needed for pre-launch communications. You can unsubscribe using the link in an email or ask us to remove your information. Relevant provider records may be retained for compliance with legal obligations and suppression of unwanted emails.

6. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access to, correction or deletion of your personal information, object to certain processing, and withdraw consent. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
